Season and Daily Ski Passes

MTU Trails (Houghton), the Chassell Classic trails (Chassell) and Maasto Hiihto/Churning Rapids in Hancock are local top-notch ski areas cooperating with Swedetown to offer discounts on combined passes. See the current prices onw the Keweenaw Trails site.

Daily passes at Swedetown are $8.

Groups are always welcome at Swedetown. If you have an out-of-town or other special group larger than 15 planning to use the trails, please contact us at (906) 337-1170, so we can help provide an excellent skiing experience.

A family is defined as two adults, 18 and over, living in the same household. Children 17 and under, or still in high school, ski at no charge and will receive a free youth pass. You may purchase passes at Michgian Tech, Swedetown, Cross Country Sports (Calumet and Houghton), Downwind Sports (Houghton), Einerlei (Chassell), or on the web at www.keweenawtrails.com.

The ski club does, however, have a policy of allowing any township resident whose income is 50 percent or less of the township’s Median household income of $24,928, to apply for a waiver ofentrance fees for winter recreation activities. To receive the waiver, the resident must annually fill out a one-page application that is available at the chalet. If they qualify, the individual or family receives a season pass at no cost.
